Case 20: Corticobasal Syndrome: [18F]FDG and Amyloid PET
摘要
Corticobasal degeneration (CBD) is a neuropathological diagnosis that could be linked to many clinical syndromes. Thus, the clinical diagnosis remains a challenge. In-vivo biomarkers, both those related to neurodegeneration and protein-based ones, could improve the specificity of the diagnosis, which could be helpful to guide the patient selection in some new disease-modifying therapies. In this chapter, we describe an illustrative case of corticobasal syndrome where imaging biomarkers can help the clinician to reach the most probable underlying neuropathological diagnosis.
