摘要

This chapter outlines the need for comprehensive and replicable studies of cross-platform disinformation operations. These operations, which are often cross-platform by design, can have an impact far beyond the information environment in which they were initiated. Lack of resources, access to data and other obstacles hinder an analysis of these operations that is equally holistic a, s their design. Investigations of information operations are often limited in scope and are not able to capture their full scope. Using tools like social network analysis and cascade analysis can aid in uncovering these operations and visualising their interconnectivity. However, these methods, and the study of cross-platform operations at large, will require access to reliable data at scale.
