Mother and child healthcare is one of the eight core components of primary healthcare system mentioned by the Alma-Ata Declaration. In India, an ideal pyramid structure of the sub-centers of healthcare delivers medical services to the mothers and children at village level. A registered doctor, an auxiliary nursing midwifery (ANM) and other medical professionals give antenatal care (ANC) for safe pregnancy. Early pregnancy registration, at least three checkups of the pregnant woman and tetanus toxoid (TT) and iron and folic acid tablets, early detection and referral of the expecting mother at risk, delivery of child by qualified and experienced medical team and suggesting the parents in birth spacing are all covered in the ANC service (Iyengar et al., 2009). Although health care services in India achieved significant improvement through the decades the country’s maternal mortality rate is 97 per 100,000 live births (NFHS-5, 2018–2020). The present study indicates that many expecting mothers do not avail the full ANC bundle. To understand the fact that the researcher has done household survey and collected data from health centers also. One village from each of the Eleven Gram Panchayats of Labpur Community Development Block (C.D. Block) was selected. Thus, survey was conducted in 11 villages. In each village, stratified sampling was conducted to obtain data. The study reveals that several factors influence the married women between the age 18 years and 49 years. Antenatal Care Services still not easily accessible to few women in the rural areas of Labpur C.D. Block of Birbhum District, West Bengal.
