This research examines the issues and challenges being faced by UK domiciliary care workers in the UK. It explores issues such as client overload on care workers, limited care time, and insufficient travel compensation for the care workers. Using a qualitative data collection approach - interviews in West Yorkshire, the study highlights how these issues significantly and negatively affect the quality of care services rendered, which often leads to care worker burnout and high staff turnover. Financial strain due to insufficient mileage compensation worsens job dissatisfaction. The research advocates for systemic reforms, including better pay, increased time per client, and policies supporting caregiver well-being. Recommendations include flexible scheduling, improved wages, mandatory mileage payments, and technology to alleviate administrative burdens.
