The gig economy, characterised by flexible and temporary employment, has become an increasingly attractive trend among young workers. The desire for autonomy, flexibility, and diverse experiences drives this shift. The gig economy allows young workers to work independently, choose projects that align with their passions, and achieve a better work-life balance. However, it also presents challenges, such as the lack of job security, the absence of critical benefits, and limited access to training and education. This paper aims to investigate the experience of gig jobs among youngsters, the factors that contribute to the preference for gig jobs, and to identify association on the gig preference as their permanent job. Based on the research, young people saw this as a way to sustain themselves, earn extra money, obtain some work experience, and hone their social skills. The results are important for job seekers, economists, and young people since gigs offer options for self-employment and alternative work experience.
