Peninsular Malaysia’s indigenous Orang Asli have long experienced marginalisation and restricted economic possibilities. Orang Asli communities are among the most disadvantaged, facing poverty, lack of education, and poor infrastructure despite Malaysia’s economic boom. Differentiated economic development programmes for indigenous communities are needed to safeguard and improve their rights. This research examines the law on the indigenous rights to explore how boosting Orang Asli commercial opportunities might improve their economy. Qualitative and descriptive cross-sectional studies of governing statutes, reported cases, and administrative authority data achieved this. The research examines indigenous communities worldwide to determine the best approaches to boost their economies. Thus, Orang Asli business possibilities must be demonstrated through robust legal protection, equitable economic policies, and technological developments.
