In this chapter, firstly, the notion of ubuntu related to African philosophy of higher education is examined. It is argued that African philosophy of higher education cannot be practised without invoking the African ethic of ubuntu. Secondly, it is shown how deliberative iteration constitutes an African philosophy of higher education. The idea of human interconnectedness has a bearing on human engagement related to deliberative iteration. Thirdly, it is argued why political resistance ought to be associated with the cultivation of an African philosophy of higher education. Thus, this chapter underscores the centrality of ubuntu, deliberative iteration, and political resistance in guiding what it means to cultivate an African philosophy of higher education, highlighting its interconnectedness and significance in the educational context.
