Higher education institutions (HEIs) have a unique position to lead the promotion of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). They have proper access and resources to disseminate SDGs to stakeholders: students, community, and industry. Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia (AJCUI) joined UI GreenMetric in 2018, and hereafter, we have focused on participating in achieving the SDGs goals in three main pillars: academics, research, and community services. From the academic perspective, we are committed to compiling an SDGs-oriented curriculum with the respective characteristics of a study program. The Faculty of Economics and Business has opened a prominent Master of Management Program in Sustainability Marketing in collaboration with Indonesia’s first and most renowned marketing consulting firm. This program is expected to accelerate the exposure of SDGs to the business society. Research and community services are also directed towards sustainability, one of which stands out concerning renewable energy. The Faculty of Engineering has successfully built a solar power plant in a remote area of Sumba, involved industry (BCA), and empowered the local community. The experience of this outstanding success, how to design, cooperate with institutions and society, and comply with regulations, will be described in this paper. Therefore, it can become documentation for the next generation and a reference for other institutions moving together to participate in sustainability.

Higher Education Prominent Activities Towards Sustainability
