ECOTEC University, a leader in innovation and sustainability, stands out for its commitment to contribute to the circular economy and cutting-edge projects that not only address crucial environmental challenges, but offer effective solutions, restoring balance to society and the environment. At the forefront of our achievements is our remarkable use of Renewable Energies, through our Solar Plant, which generates 85% of clean energy, contributing to mitigating global warming and improving the energy security of the campus. The start of operations of our Wastewater Treatment Plant, which revalorizes and improves water quality, preventing pollutants from reaching rivers and protecting public health. Our exceptional Reforestation Plan, which allowed the insertion of 428 individuals, which constitute a reservoir of native fauna and provide beneficial long-term ecological services. And our strategic implementation of ecologically planned points for Waste Revaluation corroborates our dedication to minimizing our ecological footprint. By recycling 3021 kg of materials, we mitigate waste generation. Due to our great concern for the environment and society, our campus is today a benchmark for sustainability in Ecuador, leading Goal 13—Climate Action of the Sustainable Development Goals.
