The purpose of this chapter is to outline International University of Business Agriculture and Technology’s (IUBAT) efforts and accomplishments in aligning with the United Nation Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and UI GreenMetric indicators. The study underscores the university’s groundbreaking contribution to realizing SDGs within the context of a developing nation, Bangladesh. IUBAT’s sustainable development initiatives encompass a wide spectrum of actions integrating sustainability into various facets of university life. From curricular innovations that infuse sustainability across disciplines to campus infrastructure optimizations, the university has made substantial strides. As a proud member of the UI GreenMetric community, IUBAT has demonstrated an unwavering dedication to fostering environmental consciousness and responsible practices within its academic ecosystem. The implementation of renewable energy sources, waste reduction strategies, education for sustainable development, and green building designs exemplifies IUBAT’s holistic approach. The study also explores ongoing and future initiatives for sustainable development within university environments, aiming to improve their UI GreenMetric scores and other global sustainability rankings. The conclusion of this chapter outlines potential directions for future research and the associated implications, emphasizing IUBAT’s role as a model institution for sustainability in higher education.
