Sustainability has emerged as an important component for maintaining an edge when many industries produce waste that can be detrimental to the environment. In recent years the world has seen the emergence of Industry 5.0 technologies as the primary facilitators for businesses to switch to environmentally conscious production practices that enhance green sustainability. The current study investigates the role of Industry 5.0 technologies in improving sustainability through the mediation of green production. In this process, strategic planning is an influencing factor. Strategic planning is considered an influencing factor in this process. Data was collected from 173 managers and analyzed with PLS-SEM statistical method to test the study hypotheses. The results show that Industry 5.0 technologies and green production are essential to achieving environmental sustainability, while strategic planning plays a vital role in between those factors. The study found that to make sustainability improvements more effective, businesses need to adapt strategic planning while applying transformational technologies.
