This chapter explores how social interaction and emotional connectivity emerge and unfold within gaming communities, highlighting the complex interplay between individual experience, collective dynamics, and technological design. Video games are not only platforms for entertainment but also spaces where players cultivate relationships, develop identities, and express emotions—often in deeply personal and socially meaningful ways. Drawing on recent advances in affective neuroscience, psychology, and game studies, we examine how games trigger emotional responses through narrative immersion, multisensory design, and the reward system, while also serving as tools for coping, stress relief, and mental health support. We further analyze how players form emotional bonds with non-playable characters (NPCs), explore identity through avatars, and experience social inclusion—or exclusion—in multiplayer and online environments. Finally, the chapter discusses the ethical responsibilities of the gaming industry in shaping emotional experiences and fostering healthy, inclusive digital ecosystems. By integrating neurobiological, psychological, and cultural perspectives, we offer a comprehensive understanding of how gaming fosters emotional resonance, social bonding, and affective transformation.

摘要
