This study examines the beverage business in Iraq and the relationships be-tween green supply-chain management (GSCM), green innovation (GI), barriers to GSCM (BGCM) and sustainable supply-chain management (SSCM). The study included 248 participants, who were all employees of Baghdad Soft Drinks Company, a private joint-stock company. Structured questionnaires based on validated scales were used to collect the data, which were analysed using structural equation modelling to identify moderating and mediating effects. The findings show that GSCM improves SSCM and that GI helps to explain this link. BGCM also mediates the relationship between GSCM and SSCM, emphasising the need to remove obstacles to maximise positive environmental effects in the Iraqi beverage sector. This study demonstrates how sustainable supply-chain strategies and innovation could boost the industry’s sustainability and offers encouragement to Iraqi beverage firms to use green techniques, overcome obstacles and maximise sustainability and quality for long-term environmental and economic benefits.

摘要
