Entrepreneurial Intentions and Awareness of Business Incubators Among Gen Z: A Study in Oman’s Higher Education Institutions
摘要
Entrepreneurship is a key pillar of Oman Vision 2040, which aims to foster a diversified economy and an entrepreneurial mindset among youth. Generation Z, as the future workforce and business leaders, plays a crucial role in realizing this vision. In line with Oman Vision 2040’s goals of empowering youth and promoting an entrepreneurial ecosystem, this study aims to assist in creating initiatives that enhance business incubator engagement, entrepreneurial education, and the environment for budding entrepreneurs. This study investigates Gen Z’s awareness of business incubators at Gen Z universities. It focuses on the newest work generation’s support for start-ups and their aspirations to own companies. The study analyses the level of entrepreneurial intentions among Gen Z students while evaluating their knowledge and understanding of business incubators. Further, the study identifies the difficulties that prevent students from pursuing entrepreneurship and examines differences in entrepreneurial ambitions and incubator awareness by gender, age, academic level, and field of study. A systematic survey is distributed to university college students across Oman to gather quantitative information for the study.
