Recently, crypto-assets have occupied a prominent place in portfolio management, providing innovative alternatives to conventional assets. Although these digital assets are highly volatile, they attract a large number of investors thanks to their high potential returns. In addition, our research seeks to conduct a bibliometric study using VOSviewer software. The aim is to analyze the collaborative links between researchers and their countries, as well as the co-occurrence of keywords. The results show a significant increase in the number of articles published between 2016 and 2024, revealing substantial growth in research related to this topic. In addition, the UK and Vietnam are at the heart of the countries with the highest number of collaborative links. Finally, keyword co-occurrence analysis shows that crypto-assets, particularly Bitcoin, play a crucial role in portfolio diversification due to their low correlation with traditional assets. This study will help investors and portfolio managers clearly grasp the role of digital assets in risk management.
