Nanoparticles Integrated Textile Sensors
摘要
Increasing customer demand for flexible, stretchable, conformable, enduring and multifunctional sensors (instead of hard sensors), has opened up possibilities for integrating nanomaterials into textile substrates. Nanomaterials due to their fine dimensions are coated homogeneously over the fabric surface, without affecting its flexibility, stretchability, bending and porosity. These particles are integrated, coated and deposited over the fibre surfaces by adopting various physical and chemical methods. The selection of particles such as metal, carbon, 2D or multifunctional nano agents is based on the end application of sensors. The developed particles integrated textile sensors have recently emerged as a new paradigm for health care system, wearable computing device, energy harvesting, smart sensing system and flexible electrodes In addition to their integration into garments and flexible devices—which can not only transmit information but also function as smart sensing tools for mobile internet access—these sensors offer unobtrusive monitoring of various physiological parameters, including heart rate, body temperature, and blood pressure. The present chapter discusses electronic, photonic, chemical and physical nanotechnologies that are integrated with textiles and shows their multiple applications in different fields such as, health Monitoring, fitness tracking, assistive technology, gesture and posture recognition, environmental monitoring, smart textile sensors, emotion monitoring and various hitch and industrial applications.
