Mirroring from the author’s personal and professional journey on transitioning from fossil energy to renewable energy, this chapter talks about the reflections of job and workforce aspects in the energy transition as they embody the shift from traditional fossil fuels to renewable and sustainable energy sources, and the process of reskilling and up-skilling of workers to align with the new technologies and practices, especially in the context of global south. While the transition promises to create new jobs and an avenue of knowledge economy globally, it also plays a pivotal role in ensuring economic stability and environmental sustainability, making it essential for a balanced and inclusive approach to thinking about job transition mindfully.
