In the previous chapter, it was demonstrated that the proposed framework can indeed be used in practice to support municipal decision-making. However the framework has several disadvantages and “rough edges” that should be addressed in future research or, at the very least, be presented to the potential user. These disadvantages include biases caused by some groups being underrepresented on social media or cultural and language dependencies. Then, there are several methodological issues, for example, the inability to distinguish between different types of emotions, inability to consider relationships between multiple social media posts which often form discussion threads, or the inability to extract information from media content such as photos. Several other potential applications of the framework are also discussed, including user review or survey analysis.
