The article provides a comprehensive analysis of modern research in the field of digital transformation of regions based on a systematic review of publications from leading scientific journals in the Ural scientific and educational space of Russia. Having performed a systematic review of publications in academic journals for the period of 2019–2024, we identified key trends and directions of scientific discourse. Among the major tendencies revealed is the growing interest in the issue of digitalization of territories covering various socio-economic aspects. It is shown that there is a trend towards interdisciplinary integration and the formation of a new research landscape in the study of digital transformation. The special focus of the paper is on the concept of smart territories, the impact of the digital divide on regional development, and the transformation of educational systems and the labor market within the digital economy. Our analysis indicates the need for formulating integrated approaches to managing digital transformation of regions that would allow for global trends and the local context. The promising avenues for further research are the study of nonlinear effects of digitalization, long-term implications of digital transformation for the spatial organization of the economy, and the development of integrative models of digital development of territories.

摘要
