Hydro-powered pump can be a key solution for providing irrigation or drinking water to the rural areas of no access to energy resources or technology. In this study, a parametric analysis, using numerical modeling and simulations in Ansys-Fluent, is conducted to examine the pump's design and performance. The transient 3D CFD model evaluates 58 input parameters to optimize the system. Results identify the best design configuration, achieving a 3 m pressure head, 15% efficiency, and a flow rate of 11.82 l/min, demonstrating the pump's feasibility and potential for improvement.

摘要

Hydro-powered pump can be a key solution for providing irrigation or drinking water to the rural areas of no access to energy resources or technology. In this study, a parametric analysis, using numerical modeling and simulations in Ansys-Fluent, is conducted to examine the pump's design and performance. The transient 3D CFD model evaluates 58 input parameters to optimize the system. Results identify the best design configuration, achieving a 3 m pressure head, 15% efficiency, and a flow rate of 11.82 l/min, demonstrating the pump's feasibility and potential for improvement.
