This chapter is devoted to the management of resilience in supply chains. This chapter starts with fundamental definitions of resilience and related concepts. It then explains the strategic importance of resilience and its capabilities that firms should build to recover after disruptions. Subsequently, this chapter offers insights into practical ways of resolving trade-offs between resilience and efficiency. Finally, this chapter discusses supply chain resilience issues in the context of a hyper disruption, i.e. COVID-19 pandemic.
