The Medical Act
摘要
This final chapter takes up the idea of the medical act and its connection to appeals to conscience. In so doing it is important to remind the reader that this book is a work in bioethics, and not in metaphysics or medical sociology. Within the wide variety of conversations both interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary given a home in the field of bioethics, the arguments of this book are best understood as instances of applied ethics, the ethics of medicine.
