An essential part of any cataract surgery and especially in multifocal intraocular lenses use is knowing mainly the patients’ needs and lifestyle and the intraocular lens qualities advantages and disadvantages. These two are influenced by a lot of factors which the surgeon has to take into consideration as patients selection and lens selection are the key to achieve multifocality and happy patients. In this chapter, we describe the different factors and issues that should be addressed prior to surgery, among them is also the surgeons own experience as well as patients’ personality and other factors.
