The ACRIVA Family
摘要
Acriva intraocular lenses (IOLs) are made of a combination of 2-oxiethylmethacrylate and 2-hydroxymethacrylate monomers, which create hydrophobic surface behavior with the advantage of hydrophilic flexibility. A slight negative asphericity (−0.165 μm) in Acriva IOLs helps partly maintain the corneal positive aberrations, helping patients maintain good depth of focus. Members of Acriva IOLs include two multifocal IOLs (AcrivaUD Reviol MFM 611 and Reviol BB MFM 611) and two trifocal IOLs (AcrivaUD Trinova and Trinova Pro C Pupil Adaptive®). Acriva multifocal IOLs have an active-diffractive optic that helps balance light distribution, enhancing contrast sensitivity. The Acriva trifocal IOLs are equipped with sinusoidal Seamless Vision Technology (SVT), which results in smooth variations of surface profiles and provides continuous vision in the transition zones. This chapter discusses the technological aspects of Acriva multifocal and trifocal IOLs, as well as the reported clinical outcomes of these IOLs.
