Robotic and Laparoscopic Prostate Adenomectomy
摘要
Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) most of the lower urinary tract symptoms. And its complications such as urinary retention, bleeding, kidney dysfunction and bladder stones secondary to BPH occur. Some patients need the surgery. Surgical procedures are including monopolar or bipolar transurethral resection, Holmium/thulium laser enucleation, other minimal invasive techniques, and open surgery. In patients with large prostate, choosing these surgical procedures were controversial due to new technological advantages. We know open simple prostatectomy (OSP) is the standard surgical treatment for patients with enlarged prostate. But perioperative and postoperative complication rate of OSP can be up to 42%. As a current method, laparascopic or robotic thecnique can be used for large prostate. We think that OSP does not have to be performed in patients with large prostate
