The most prevalent laser types utilized include Holmium: yttrium-aluminum-garnet (Ho:YAG), thulium: yttrium-aluminum-garnet (Tm:YAG), and thulium fiber laser (TFL). Notably, pulse modulation technology has emerged as a promising development in this context. The primary objective of this chapter is to provide a fundamental guide to the characteristics and application of lasers in endourological procedures.
