This chapter explores the technical aspects, patient selection, and surgical approach of LRP, including transperitoneal and extraperitoneal methods, nerve-sparing techniques, vesicourethral anastomosis, and lymph node dissection. The role of robotic-assisted laparoscopy in enhancing precision and ergonomics is discussed, along with complications, functional recovery (urinary continence, erectile function), and oncologic efficacy. Comparative analysis of LRP versus open and robotic-assisted techniques, alongside future advancements in laparoscopic urologic surgery, provides a comprehensive framework for understanding the evolving landscape of radical prostatectomy.
