Cardiovascular Effects of Laparoscopic and Robotic Surgery
摘要
Laparoscopic (LS) and Robotic Surgery or Robotic Assisted Surgery (RAS) is fundamentally is same technic where RAS enables precise remote control of the laparoscopic and surgical equipment in the procedures more than human hand can do. With LS or RAS, the operation type is a key factor for the cardiovascular effect because different type of LS and RAS operations need different position and technic. Usually the positioning and technic itself determines the risk. LS and RAS require patient in a selected position with insufflating inert gas which causes increased intra-abdominal pressure. Therefor regulatory adaptations and changes in the physiology are usually due to patient positioning, carboperitoneum and increased intra-abdominal pressure (IAP). If these changes in physiological state is not followed and controlled, they may lead some pathological and even life threatening situations.
