摘要

As a result of its ability to use LEDs to send information quickly and securely, Visible Light Communication (VLC) is becoming an increasingly interesting technology for vehicle networks. However, maintaining a seamless connection in an environment where vehicles move at high speeds remains a challenge, particularly during handover phases, when communication must switch from one source to another without interruption Factors include high-speed mobility and the dynamic character of signal fluctuations from both the serving and target cells affect the complexity of the handover process in Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) communication systems. There are two main parts to the handover process: the handover decision, in which an algorithm figures out the best time to switch, and the handover execution, which manages the change of the communication link between nodes. This study aims to analyze current handover techniques in outdoor V2X systems, highlighting their advantages and disadvantages. It also evaluates the challenges related to maintaining smooth and stable communication during the transition from one access point to the next. With the aim of improving handover techniques in future vehicular communication technologies, this work suggests future research avenues to ensure better performance, fluidity, and reliability.
