Evolution of Scientific Theories and Predictive Epistemology

In this chapter, we deal with some historical cases to study how fruitful can be the notion of (parametric) effective complexity when describing the criteria that can be used for the choice and evolution of scientific theories, and in the evaluation of their predictive success.
