The Mirabilis Jalapa plant (M. Jalapa) is recognized as having medicinal properties and has been used experimentally as a digestive and laxative. It is used in several therapeutic applications. The objective of this work is to carry out a toxicological evaluation of anti-inflammatory biological active compound based on Mirabilis Jalapa. The results showed 100% survival in the experimental animals. Considering that the substance did not cause deaths or signs of toxicity, no significant variations in body weight values were observed. In addition, there were no macroscopic changes in cavities, organs and tissues. It is concluded that the substance is classified in category five of UNCLASSIFIED according to the classification test.
