Lean maintenance is essential for the proper functioning of any organization; its management in dental clinics takes on special significance because these are institutions whose mission is to restore the oral and general health of the population. The objective of the research is to design a procedure for lean maintenance management in these organizations where the lean tools and techniques that can be used at each step are explained. The research was carried out in the last quarter of 2023 at the “Dr. Mario Pozo Ochoa” Dental Clinic, in the municipality of Holguín, Cuba. The main problems that affect maintenance were identified through the analysis of the value chain of this activity, determining the gaps for their subsequent elimination. The following results are worth highlighting: maintenance was managed following lean principles with the application of techniques and tools to facilitate its analysis, evaluation and control, which allowed the creation of the action plan for continuous improvement. It contributed to the improvement of process performance, obtaining favorable results in terms of time, productivity, quality and availability of medical equipment, thereby promoting the sustainability of these organizations.
