AMSR 50/160 Water Pump Cover Quality Grade, Based on a Statistical Study of the Dimensional and Shape Tolerance’ Behavior

Quality control is essential in any industrial process, as it allows monitoring productive actions and thus eliminates errors, failures or defects. In the same way, quality control allows us to evaluate the systems efficiency and thereby see which procedures can be improved and which must be corrected, since the causes of these deviations and errors in the products manufacturing come from another process that must be detected and corrected. The quality control implementation requires the key stages diagnosis that must be reviewed in the production process, and also an evaluation instrument for these stages. The objective of this work is to carry out quality control on the cover of the AMSR 50/160 water pump through a study of its dimensional and shape tolerance, where 25 samples were taken to carry out the analysis. This made it possible to specify the quality degree of the lid and contribute to the quality management of production.
