In July 2022, a fire occurred in the “Lidio Ramón Pérez” Thermoelectric company in Mayarí municipality, Cuba, which seriously affected the boiler and the structural system that supports it. In boiler full repair, it is necessary to dismantle and reassemble of the boiler drum. To carry out this work, the client proposes a short span lifting beam “plate-style” with defined material and dimensions. An investigation is carried out on accessories of this type, where the art state on the current development of similar tools is analyzed, consulting documents from manufacturing company of this type, including existing ones related to the proposed model. The resistance of this proposed accessory was evaluated, applying analytical and finite element analysis methods with the use of 3D design tools, determining whether the given configuration of this element is ideal, with minimal use of material, that complies with the standardized safety coefficients.
