The ongoing digital transformation has a significant impact on business activities, driving the growth of digital entrepreneurship. While promising a greater way for entrepreneurs to pursue opportunities and facilitate the entrepreneur process through digital technologies, it also challenges, particularly for entrepreneurs, in the Global South. Our chapter aims to explore and map the previous studies on digital entrepreneurship from Global South countries to help us understand the trending problems that the entrepreneurs face relates to digital transformation adoption on their business. The analysis consists of systematic literature review based on PRISMA guidelines. Our sample of 87 articles published in 52 journal articles, covering 11 years’ data ranging from 2014 to 2025. The results show leading contributions of Asia region (China and India) with 55% of the research. We contribute to research in the field by mapping out four primary topics emerged: (1) Digital entrepreneurship under gender perspective; (2) Digital entrepreneurial implementation; (3) Digital entrepreneurial intentions; (4) Fostering digital entrepreneurship. The findings suggest a comprehensive approach to support policy framework and practices. We suggest research avenues to foster digital entrepreneurship in Global South countries.
