Entrepreneurial resource mobilization is a critical process in any entrepreneurial journey, yet traditional mechanisms often disadvantage entrepreneurs with low resource endowments, particularly in resource-constrained environments. This chapter provides a conceptual review of the mechanisms involved in the search, access, and transfer stages of resource mobilization, identifying the challenges faced by low endowed entrepreneurs at each stage. Drawing on the literature and insights from field work conducted between 2021 and 2023 in Morocco, I highlight issues such as lack of useful network ties, over-embeddedness, unintentional negative signaling, and constraints imposed by formal resource-based governance. I propose adapted mechanisms tailored to the unique contexts and endowments of disadvantaged entrepreneurs, including leveraging decentralized public resources, behavioral nudges, resourcefulness narratives, and outcome-based informal governance. By examining these alternative paths, the chapter contributes to discussions on fostering emancipation and addressing inequalities in entrepreneurship within the Global Majority.

摘要
