Social Capital and Rural Women Entrepreneurs: Understanding Ties in Business for Entrepreneurial Resilience
摘要
This article contributes to the discussion on how social capital brings in entrepreneurial resilience among rural women entrepreneurs. The study extends the theoretical as well as practical knowledge on the role of social capital for rural women entrepreneurs. By study case studies of 12 women entrepreneurs in rural areas of Punjab, India, key dimensions of social capital are juxtaposed over entrepreneurial resilience. Social capital is crucial for rural women entrepreneurs for survival and sustaining the business. Thus, this study contributes to the context based understanding of social capital in the building up the entrepreneurial resilience among women entrepreneurs in rural India.
