Impact of Augmented Reality on User Experience: A Study on the Virtualization of University Facilities

This systematic review explores the impact of augmented reality (AR) on user experience (UX), focused on the virtualization of university facilities. The Kitchenham and Charter methodology is used for the systematic literature review, addressing the following research questions: Q1: In what types of studies is augmented reality used to improve user experience? Q2: What are the latest contributions of augmented reality? Q3: What technologies are used in augmented reality to optimize user experience? Q4: What are the latest contributions of augmented reality to improve user experience? Q5: What technologies are used in augmented reality to optimize user experience? Q6: What are the latest contributions of augmented reality to improve user experience? And Q7: What technologies are used in augmented reality to optimize user experience? To provide answers to the research questions, 1253 articles were analyzed, from which 29 relevant articles were selected, applying the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The study concludes that AR has a positive impact on UX in different fields, offering interactive and engaging experiences.
