By fusing traditional Intrusion Detection Systems with a pinch of social media sleuthing, we have crafted a hybrid approach that not only spots abnormal network behavior but also deciphers the cheeky signals of social engineering attacks. Leveraging the robust NSL-KDD dataset alongside the CIC (Canadian Institute of Cybersecurity) Truth Seeker 2023 treasure trove, our method employs cutting-edge deep learning techniques, including LSTM and Auto-Encoder ensembles, to elevate detection metrics to new heights boasting improved accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-scores that put conventional methods to shame. Our integrated framework shakes up the conventional cybersecurity narrative with a playful nod to the unexpected intersections of technology and human behavior, promising a future where even the most cunning cyber tricksters are left laughing at their own expense.
