Theoretical Foundations of AI-Infused Metaverse Solutions in Healthcare Systems

With immersive virtual environments like the metaverse, integration into the health sector has been welcomed increasingly as a transformative force. This paper focuses on the theoretical underpinnings of AI-infused metaverse solutions in healthcare by stressing their potential for revolutionizing medical practices, patient care, and the health sector itself. We investigate through a multidisciplinary approach how metaverse. This will further develop virtual health environments through which simulation and interactive platforms can be used to deliver remote diagnostics, virtual therapies, as well as collaborative treatment planning. Moreover, the integration of advanced technologies such as VR, AR, and blockchain into these environments will open up new opportunities for models of care that ensure secure, scalable, and patient-centric models. The major areas being discussed are about the design of virtual spaces, user interaction, and management of patient data that will give the reader an understanding of metaverse in healthcare. The chapter highlights key challenges to be addressed and includes privacy issues, ethical concerns, and accessibility of the implementation so that it does not have those issues. This chapter provides the conceptual framework to researchers and practitioners for integrating metaverse into the healthcare system in order to improve the practice of medical care.
