The second chapter introduced the historical background of the research by examining the causative factors that would later pave the way for an American intervention in Tunisia on behalf of this country’s Jewish minority. This chapter attempts to put the study within its ideological and political frameworks in an endeavor to understand the intentional factors that spurred and stimulated American desire for undertaking such an intervention.
