In this chapter, I consider the relationship between human enhancement technologies (HETs) from a feminist Christian theological perspective. This chapter begins with a brief discussion of feminism as it informs the methodological approach of the chapter. Taking a fourth-wave feminist approach, I emphasize the theological values of relationship, interdependence, and social justice through engagement with a few examples of emergent and possible future HETs. My modest and limited goal is to identify a few ethical issues at the intersection of HETs and what it means to be better, through a feminist Christian theology lens.

摘要

In this chapter, I consider the relationship between human enhancement technologies (HETs) from a feminist Christian theological perspective. This chapter begins with a brief discussion of feminism as it informs the methodological approach of the chapter. Taking a fourth-wave feminist approach, I emphasize the theological values of relationship, interdependence, and social justice through engagement with a few examples of emergent and possible future HETs. My modest and limited goal is to identify a few ethical issues at the intersection of HETs and what it means to be better, through a feminist Christian theology lens.
