From Technology-Centric AI Conversations to Avenues in Educational GenAI
摘要
Artificial intelligence (AI) has gradually penetrated education over the last 30 years (Chan & Colloton, 2024; Du Boulay et al., 2023; Niemi et al., 2023; OECD, 2021). In this context, the bursting of generative AI (GenAI) since 2022 has led to several dramatic changes. While AI had long been confined to tech enthusiast discussion circles, GenAI has made AI a concrete reality for everyone in society. In education, GenAI has changed the game for learners and teachers. Renewed interest has emerged, and new opportunities and practices have flourished, bringing with them new perspectives, perceptions, needs, risks, and challenges; transforming teaching and learning; and questioning both what is at stake and ethics in education.
