The use of artificial intelligence (AI) in education opens up new horizons, allowing you to personalize learning and adapt the learning process to the individual needs of each student. AI can analyze academic performance, identify knowledge gaps, and offer customized learning materials, thereby maximizing learning effectiveness. In addition, AI is able to automate routine tasks such as checking assignments and grading, freeing up teachers’ time for more creative and individual work with students. Ultimately, AI in education aims to create a more effective, accessible, and personalized learning environment that promotes the harmonious development of each student. This work investigates ethical and legal risks that arise when introducing artificial intelligence into the educational environment. Special attention is paid to the issues of confidentiality of students’ and teachers’ data, as well as issues of ensuring equal access to educational resources supported by AI. The potential threats of privacy violations related to the collection, storage and use of personal information in AI systems are analyzed, as well as possible scenarios of discrimination and inequality when using AI to evaluate academic performance and provide educational services. Recommendations are offered on the development and implementation of ethical and legal norms aimed at minimizing these risks and ensuring responsible use of AI in the field of education.
