The authors analyze the need to use information systems for data accounting in medical institutions. The significance and relevance of this issue is determined by the task of rapid processing and transmission of data between departments and medical institutions as a whole. An acute question arises about the design of a medical information system for working with large volumes of data. The authors used methods of analysis (analysis of the organizational structure of a medical institution), systematization and graphical display of information, as well as personalization when determining access to automated functions of the information system. The analysis of domestic and foreign sources conducted by the authors confirmed the interest of scientists in the issues of digitalization and automation of management systems in healthcare institutions. Conclusions were made that when building a specific information system for data accounting for a medical institution, one should focus on its organizational structure and the functionality of each person involved.
