This paper examines lecturers’ perceptions at the National University of Samoa (NUS) regarding the impact of COVID-19 on online education in Samoa. The impact of the pandemic worldwide included effects on teaching and learning in Higher Education in Samoa. The research explored the perceptions of lecturers about the benefits and challenges of using technology in teaching during COVID-19. Findings revealed that lecturers generally held positive views, demonstrating high levels of motivation and satisfaction. Additionally, it was evident that there was an increased usage of technology to teach and deliver courses on online platforms. The findings also indicated both benefits and challenges of online learning as well as support a strong recommendation to continue using technology to provide education in the event of further lockdown.
