This paper describes a study which evaluated the adoption and use of Moodle, based on the Foundation Computer studies class at the National University of Samoa. The study, based on the Unified Theory of Acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT) evaluated adoption and use of Moodle based on the variables of performance expectancy, effort expectancy, attitude & behaviour, social influence, facilitating conditions, self-efficacy, and anxiety. Findings from the study were highly positive and indicated positive student perceptions and valuations on all these factors and a willingness of students to continue the use of Moodle in the future. Generally, there were no age differences but there were gender differences and programme differences across some probes with males and Foundation Science programme having higher valuations across several aspects of Moodle.
