Apart from astronomical refraction in Chap. 8 on mirages, the phenomena of atmospheric optics treated so far were limited to the troposphere. In this lowest, well-mixed layer of the atmosphere, which is governed by weather, the temperature decreases from the ground up to the tropopause with a temperature minimum below −50 °C, before it increases again in the stratosphere above.

摘要

Apart from astronomical refraction in Chap. 8 on mirages, the phenomena of atmospheric optics treated so far were limited to the troposphere. In this lowest, well-mixed layer of the atmosphere, which is governed by weather, the temperature decreases from the ground up to the tropopause with a temperature minimum below −50 °C, before it increases again in the stratosphere above.
