The Interactive Architecture of Creative Learning

The primary aim of this research is to identify key enhancements and issues in designing strategies for higher education within immersive virtual and phygital spaces. The methodological framework synthesizes modern emotional design techniques with an innovative approach termed reversed design thinking. This approach is applied specifically to the development of a Creative Education Phygital Value Chain, where Creative Higher Education is analyzed and provocatively deconstructed as a form of performative art. Within a clear academic framework, it integrates various engaging techniques, such as screenwriting and immersive role-playing strategies, within a virtually prototyped reality. The course is meticulously developed based on a philosophical framework designed to craft engaging learning narratives that resonate with the audience's ethos, pathos, and logos. It incorporates a neo-epistemological approach to the teaching and learning process, utilizing Skepticism to deliver theoretical content, Pragmatism to enhance practical learning, and Phenomenology to foster creativity and one-to-one interaction in project-based disciplines. These three pillars serve as the foundation for designing human-centered experiences in virtual and phygital environments. The emotional design principles offer insightful guidelines for creating experiences that evoke specific responses (Pathos), deepening user engagement during classes and activities. Moreover, the concept of reversed design thinking defines a student-centered approach by navigating from the prototype phase back to Empathic-UX Design (Logos). This approach addresses technological challenges head-on, ensuring the end products are not only innovative but also empathetically aligned with user needs (Ethos). The Creative Education Phygital Value Chain is illustrated in the accompanying visual diagram, depicting a comprehensive structure that integrates both technical and cultural fundamentals into asynchronous content. This content is further enriched by crossing immersive experiences that lead to creative direction, creative formula, and creative thinking. The basics of the value chain are designed to foster continuous development through immersive sync and asynchronous activities, culminating in one-on-one project syncs. These elements are seamlessly interconnected to support the holistic development of creative skills, ensuring that learners can transition effectively from theoretical understanding to practical application and innovative thinking.
