This is the concluding chapter of the book. Therefore, it presents the overall conclusions of the book. In doing so, this chapter initially summarises the key findings from the previous chapters and, based on these grounds, outlines two comprehensive conclusions regarding EU actorness in the context of alternative scenarios for future EU-Western Balkans relations. Next, it sketches the EU’s course of action and its strategic dilemmas regarding its future relations with the Western Balkans over the next 5–10 years. Finally, based on the book’s overall substance, some light is shed on the way forward regarding the EU’s future relations with the Western Balkans.
